With 15 new additions, including multiple segment-first features, the C3X is positioned as a premium yet value-driven offering.
Citroën India has launched the C3X, the most feature-packed variant in its C3 line-up, with a starting price of ₹7.90 lakh for the naturally aspirated Shine trim and going up to ₹9.89 lakh for the range-topping Shine Turbo AT. With 15 new additions, including multiple segment-first features, the C3X is positioned as a premium yet value-driven offering in the competitive sub-compact SUV segment.
The C3 range now begins at ₹5.25 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base C3 Live NA variant. The mid-spec Feel trims are priced between ₹6.23 lakh and ₹7.27 lakh. The Shine variants start from ₹7.90 lakh (NA) and ₹9.10 lakh (Turbo MT).
C3X Shine Turbo AT, at ₹9.89 lakh, is the most expensive in the range, commanding a ₹79,000 premium over the regular Shine Turbo MT.
The C3X introduces Proxi-Sense Passive Entry & Push Start, allowing the car to unlock and lock automatically when the key is nearby—no need to press a sensor. Also new is Cruise Control with Speed Limiter, enhancing highway driving comfort.
Safety and visibility get a boost with the HALO 360° camera system (seven viewing modes), auto-dimming IRVM, and a complete Full LED lighting package with projector headlamps, fog lamps, and DRLs.
Inside, the metropolitan leatherette-wrapped dashboard, tropicalised automatic AC, and 10.25-inch Citroën Connect touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto deliver an upmarket and tech-friendly feel.
Compared to the C3 Shine Turbo MT, the C3X Shine Turbo AT adds premium tech and safety worth the ₹79,000 difference. Buyers get advanced convenience features, enhanced lighting, and extra safety systems that are not available in lower trims.
For those upgrading from mid-tier Feel trims, the jump in comfort, tech, and overall driving experience is significant, making the C3X a clear choice for customers wanting top-spec equipment under ₹10 lakh.
The C3X competes with Tata Punch, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite in the sub-4m SUV segment. While these rivals offer competitive features, the C3X stands out with segment-firsts like a true hands-free entry system and a 360° camera.
Price-wise, the C3X undercuts some top-end trims of the Fronx and Magnite, while offering a more premium feature set than the Tata Punch in similar price brackets.
Two engine options are available:
The turbo variant claims 0–100 kmph in under 10 seconds and an ARAI-certified mileage of 19.3 kmpl, balancing performance with efficiency.
The Citroën C3X is designed for buyers who value comfort, advanced technology, and standout design. Positioned under ₹10 lakh for its top trim, it offers strong value against rivals while introducing features not typically seen in this price segment.
