A few feature additions and the introduction of the Battery-as-a-Service model could enhance the e-C3’s appeal among EV buyers.
Citroën India has launched the e-C3X with the aim of lowering the entry barrier to electric mobility for domestic car buyers. Built upon the company's localised platform, the electric vehicle now introduces Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) financing structure.
The BaaS option effectively separates the initial purchase price of the vehicle from the battery cost through a dual-loan financial model, significantly reducing upfront procurement expenses. The standard introductory price range for the e-C3X starts at ₹10.25 lakh, whereas opting for the BaaS framework lowers the initial vehicle cost to ₹6.89 lakh, supplemented by a separate battery rental EMI calculated at ₹2.26 per kilometre.
Furthermore, the brand claims an industry-low running maintenance cost of 19 paise per kilometre for this model. Nationwide bookings have officially opened across all physical Citroën dealerships and the company’s dedicated online portal.
The e-C3X positions itself as a practical family vehicle, showcasing an SUV-inspired styling language. Buyers can choose from six monotone body paint finishes, which comprise Polar White, Steel Grey, Cosmo Blue, Perla Nera Black, Garnet Red, and Deep Forest Green.

The refreshed interior showcases an Electric Blu instrument panel decoration paired with dual-tone premium leatherette seats, LED interior lamps, and a Blue-themed seven-inch TFT driver instrument cluster. Technology requirements are managed via a large 10.25-inch central infotainment touchscreen that seamlessly integrates wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Everyday cabin usability is further elevated by a wireless smartphone charger, an electrochromic inside rear-view mirror, and Connected Car 2.0 technology packed with over forty remote access functions. For entertainment and convenience, customers can also option a premium JBL audio system alongside a combined front and rear dashcam package.
Standard safety equipment across the range comprises six airbags, an anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), and ISOFIX child seat anchor mounts featuring top tethers. The car also features speed-sensitive automatic door locks, a high-speed alert system, and an optional dashcam-linked Predictive Safety feature suite that introduces advanced safety warning assists including Lane Departure Warning, Front Vehicle Distance Alert, and a specialised Pedestrian and Non-motorised Vehicle Warning alert system.
