Dell has launched a new Alienware x16 R2 gaming laptop in India. It is positioned as a more affordable variant of the Alienware m18 R2 launched last month. The Alienware x16 R2 is geared towards gamers and creators looking for powerful performance at a relatively lower price point.
First showcased at CES 2024, the Alienware x16 R2 is powered by up to the latest Intel Core Ultra 9 processors with GPU options ranging from the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 to the high-end RTX 4090. It boasts Alienware's advanced Cryo-tech thermal management system and Legend 3.0 industrial design for efficient cooling and durability.
Some key highlights of the Alienware x16 R2 include a 16-inch QHD display with up to 240Hz refresh rate, 32GB of DDR5X RAM, 4TB of SSD storage, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 for connectivity. It also has a per-key RGB keyboard, IR webcam with HDR and dual-array mic.
Under the hood, it can be configured with an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H or Intel Core Ultra 9 185H CPU with up to 16GB NVIDIA RTX 4090 GPU, promising significantly faster performance over previous Alienware models. The 90Wh battery is claimed to offer up to a 1.9x increase in battery life.
Dell hopes to attract more price-conscious gamers in India with the new Alienware x16 R2, which starts from Rs. 2,86,490. It will be available for purchase on April 25th on Dell.com, Dell exclusive stores, and select multi-brand retailers across the country.
