Ducati will only make 500 of these special Panigales
Ducati has given a tribute to its iconic WSBK-winning 916, by unveiling the Ducati Panigale V4 SP2 30° Anniversario 916 at EICMA 2023. It is a special edition model limited to only 500 units with each featuring distinct attributes, such as a special 916 replica paint scheme, a numbered plaque on the carbon wheels, carbon bodywork, and an aluminium tank.
The Panigale V4 SP2 30° Anniversario 916’s livery is inspired by the Ducati 916 which has a rich winning history with Aussie Carl Fogarty. As a tribute to his championship wins, the black section on the upper half cowl is reminiscent of the air ducts of the 916, and the tank cover features the laurel logo in the same gold colour as seen on the 916 race bike.
The Panigale V4 SP2 30° Anniversario 916 is equipped with the same MotoGP-derived 1103 cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine, generating 215.5 bhp and 124 Nm. Additionally, it is equipped with an STM Evo Superbike dry clutch which puts down the power from 6-speed gearbox with up and down quickshifter.
It has got five-spoke carbon fibre wheels, reducing wheel weight by 1.3 kg. These wheels are fitted with Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tyres, 120/70 ZR17 in the front and 200/60 ZR17 at the rear.
For braking there are Brembo Stylema R callipers at the front, with twin 330mm discs and carbon fibre cooling ducts. At the rear, there is a 245mm disc with 2-piston callipers.
The Ducati Panigale V4 SP2 30 Anniversario 916 is equipped with an Ohlins NPX25/30 fully adjustableUSD front fork and a fully adjustable Ohlins TTX36 monoshock at the rear. It also features an aluminium single-sided swingarm for performance and handling.
The Ducati Panigale V4 SP2 30 Anniversario 916 comes standard with the Ducati Data Analyzer+ kit, complete with a GPS module. It differentiates itself from the standard Panigale V4 S by offering a single-seat and has a billet aluminium triple clamp laser-engraved with the model name and serial number. Further it also has a billet fuel cap, wing mirror, adjustable footpegs, and a tail tidy kit.
Each unit comes with a dedicated bike cover and a certificate of authenticity, adding to its rarity. With limited availability, this model is expected to become a collector's item. The bike features several components designed exclusively for closed circuit use.
Pricing varies by region, as is the case with all Ducati models sold worldwide. In the US, the MSRP is $45,995 (₹ 38.3 lakhs).
