Eka Mobility has, along with with GreenCell Mobility, been awarded a Letter of Award (LOA) for the supply and deployment of 915 electric buses in Hyderabad. The contract falls under the central government's PM E-Drive scheme, administered through CESL. The fleet of buses will comprise 100 nine-metre buses and 815 twelve-metre standard floor non-AC electric vehicles, aimed to serve a range of urban transit needs across the city, the company announced on Monday.

The PM E-Drive scheme is a central government flagship programme designed to accelerate EV adoption, support domestic manufacturing and bring down urban air pollution.
The Hyderabad award comes after contracts secured by EKA Mobility under CESL's PM E-Bus Seva initiative, which meant deployments in the states of Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Puducherry and Meghalaya.
"Securing this LOA for 915 electric buses is a strong endorsement of our technology and execution capabilities. We are proud to contribute to Hyderabad's transition toward cleaner, smarter urban transport in alignment with the Government of India's PM E‑DRIVE vision," Rohit Srivastava, Business Head and Chief Growth Officer at EKA Mobility, said in a statement.
