Red Bull Racing has won every race so far this year.

Max Verstappen and Red Bull won the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, enabling the Milton Keynes-based outfit to equal McLaren’s record of 11 straight wins in F1. This also means Red Bull has won every race so far this year. On a bright note, this was the smallest margin by which Verstappen has won a race in 2023.

McLaren had a resurgence, with Lando Norris finishing second in a rapid car. His teammate Oscar Piastri came fourth, split by Lewis Hamilton in the Mercedes. Hamilton's teammate George Russell finished fifth, as both Mercedes overtook the Ferraris, who suffered a dreadful race due to woeful tyre degradation.

Charles Leclerc finished ninth for Ferrari, and Carlos Sainz Jr. came tenth thanks to the late safety car when Kevin Magnussen retired in his Haas, further scuppering the Maranello squad’s race.

Sergio Perez in the second Red Bull finished sixth, ahead of Fernando Alonso’s Aston Martin. He was chased by Alex Albon in the Williams, who was flying and stymied Charles Leclerc from making headway after Leclerc pitted again for tyres following the safety car.

By far, the biggest losers were Alpine, with Esteban Ocon retiring early and Pierre Gasly’s race ruined by suspension damage at the end. McLaren’s huge points gain will hamper Alpine’s ambitions still further.

Logan Sargent gained eleventh for Williams, signalling a very good race for the Grove team, which has faced financial difficulties for the past decade.

Valtteri Bottas finished twelfth for Alfa Romeo, ahead of his teammate Guanyu Zhou in fifteenth. Nico Hulkenberg finished thirteenth, the sole finisher for Haas. Lance Stroll struggled in the second Aston Martin, earning a five-second penalty for exceeding track limits, but finished fourteenth.

The AlphaTauri pair of Yuki Tsunoda and Nyck De Vries finished sixteenth and seventeenth.
