Vigneshwar replaces Manish Raj Singhania as the 37th President of the apex national body of automobile retail in India.
The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) has elected C S Vigneshwar as its 37th President for the 2024-26 term. The decision was made during the organisation's 315th Governing Council Meeting, following its 60th Annual General Meeting.
Vigneshwar, the Managing Director of Anaamalais Toyota in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, brings extensive experience to this role. His has overseen several dealerships in the past, including Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles and Ather Energy. Vigneshwar has also been an active FADA council member for the past 12 years and has held key positions in various automotive dealer councils as well.
At the same event, the apex body also saw the appointment of Sai Giridhar as its Vice President, Amar Jatin Sheth being appointed as the Secretary, and Pradeep Agarwal as Treasurer of FADA.
During his outgoing speech, Singhania pointed out the progress made in dealer-manufacturer relations and how there has been increased industry focus on retail sales figures. At the same time, he also acknowledged how several initiatives are still under work in progress.
Outgoing President Manish Raj Singhania highlighted FADA's recent achievements, including progress on the Model Dealer Agreement and improved focus on retail figures over wholesale in the industry.
As FADA marks its 60th year, the new leadership team faces the task of advocating for a sector that employs an estimated 5 million people across India. Their ability to balance dealer interests with broader industry trends will likely define their term's success.
