One of the key highlights of the event was the appointment of C S Vigneshwar as the new President of FADA.
The Federation of Automobile Dealers Association successfully concluded its 6th Auto Retail Conclave that was themed around sustainable growth of the automobile retail sector with the key focus being around elevating customer experience and revitalising dealer synergy.
The conclave was inaugurated by the Union Minister of Road, Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari who addressed the gathering virtually. In his keynote speech, Gadkari highlighted how the innovations in customer-centric experience, both in sales and after sales department, is important to recognise India’s endeavors for future mobility. He further reassured OEMs, and its respective dealer network, of Government support and collaboration with the auto sector.
In attendance was also the Union Minister of Heavy Industries, H D Kumaraswamy, who noted how vehicle registration reports are essential for policy makers and industry stakeholders, especially in the country's transformation to sustainable mobility. Union Minister of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, Bhupendra Yadav was also one of the key guests. He urged auto dealers to prioritise its efforts towards green mobility and how the industry should promote zero-emission vehicles more.

But one of the key highlights of the event was the appointment of C S Vigneshwar as the new President of the apex body of automobile retail in India. Vigneshwar replaced Manish Raj Singhania to become the 37th President of FADA.
The conclave also saw the launch of FADA Digest 2024, which gives us a detailed key insight into the technology, trends and policies that are shaping India’s auto sector. Alongside, Shylesh Narayanan, Country Head of Frost and Sullivan, unveiled the Customer Experience Index study that was conducted in collaboration with FADA. The study was formed with the response of over 8,500 customers, which were assessed across vehicle sales, after-sales, product quality, in both urban and rural regions.
The conclave concluded with the signing of MoU between FADA, DigiELV, and Meta Materials Circular Markets – all of which are aimed at advancing sustainable practices in the automotive industry, especially through end-of-life vehicle management.
