Ferrari has taken a bold leap into the digital realm with the unveiling of the F76, the brand's first-ever car created exclusively for the virtual world. Launched on 25 October 2025 at the Scarperia circuit during the Finali Mondiali Ferrari week, this digital hypercar exists solely as an NFT (non-fungible token), marking a pioneering venture that blends the Italian manufacturer's storied racing heritage with cutting-edge generative design technology.
The F76's nomenclature carries deep historical significance, paying homage to Ferrari's maiden triumph at the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1949—precisely 76 years before the car's 2025 debut. That landmark victory was achieved by Luigi Chinetti and Lord Selsdon, who piloted a Touring-bodied 166 MM barchetta to secure Ferrari's first overall win at the legendary French endurance race. The 166 MM proved instrumental in establishing Ferrari as an international racing icon during a period when the company desperately needed financial stability after suffering wartime bombing damage to its factories.
Unlike traditional Ferrari models, the F76 will never see a production line or physical concept form. Instead, it serves as a digital asset exclusively available to the 100 members of Ferrari's Hyperclub programme—an elite community created to support the brand's return to endurance racing with the 499P prototype. The 499P has dominated the modern Le Mans era with three consecutive victories in 2023, 2024, and 2025, creating a parallel between past and present racing excellence.

Created by the Ferrari Styling Centre under the direction of Flavio Manzoni, the F76 represents what Ferrari describes as a "design manifesto" intended to preview the aesthetic direction of future Ferraris. The car employs a parametric design approach where form, function, and performance converge as a unified organism, incorporating biomimetics, architectural principles, engineering, and computer science.
The most striking design element is the F76's double fuselage configuration, which physically separates the driver and passenger cells. This radical layout creates a central channel that transforms the entire car body into an active aerodynamic wing, maximising ground effect. Airflow splits at the front and reunites at the rear, where a secondary wing positioned atop the dual tails enhances the efficiency of the unique diffuser system.
The flanks feature vertical cuts reminiscent of Ferrari's new F80 supercar, demonstrating how the technical-stylistic language of current models will influence future designs. At the front, a suspended band takes the floating splitter concept to an extreme, whilst two pairs of retractable headlights positioned laterally provide a distinctive aesthetic link to Ferrari's iconic pop-up headlights from the 1970s and 1980s.
In the central fuselage area, three-dimensional livery with lateral louvres highlights a signature element of Ferrari's design vocabulary. The tails incorporate thermal management functions directly into their structure through topology optimisation, generating complex geometries that channel cooling flows and maximise heat dissipation from internal mechanical components.
The F76's interior features two separate cockpits that utilise drive-by-wire technology to synchronise every driving component—from steering wheels to pedals—allowing both occupants to experience identical sensations in real time. This shared driving experience elevates both emotional and technical participation beyond traditional automotive conventions.

Hyperclub members enjoyed an unprecedented level of customisation, with each digital car created by selecting from various design options released as exclusive drops over the three-year Hyperclub programme. This platform allowed clients to bring their personalised F76 to life, becoming active participants in an exclusive community where tradition and innovation intersect.
The F76 represents a significant strategic move for Ferrari as luxury brands increasingly target tech-savvy younger demographics accumulating wealth through AI and technology investments. Following Ferrari's 2023 decision to accept Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USDC for vehicle purchases in the United States—later expanded to Europe—the F76 demonstrates the marque's commitment to engaging with digital-native audiences.
Beyond revenue generation, the project showcases Ferrari's ability to leverage generative design and digital technologies to explore future design directions without the constraints of physical production. Several patented solutions emerged from this virtual development process, potentially influencing upcoming production models.

The timing proves particularly relevant given Ferrari's dominant performance in endurance racing, with the 499P securing three consecutive Le Mans victories and cementing the brand's return to the pinnacle of sportscar competition. The F76 allows Ferrari's most devoted clients to participate in this racing journey alongside the official team, strengthening brand loyalty whilst funding continued motorsport excellence.
