Ford Bronco Raptor Gets Black Pack On Solar Eclipse 2024

North America witnessed a total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024, and to commemorate that Ford has introduced a Black Appearance package for the Bronco Raptor. As the name suggests, the Black Appearance package gets many Black accents. 

Mostly a cosmetic update, the Black Appearance package for the Bronco Raptor gets its roof, bonnet, ORVMs, roll bars and fender flares finished in Shadow Black with a gloss finish. The Bronco Raptor’s bumpers, skid plate and tow hooks get a matte black finish. Ford says it has painted the skid plate on the Bronco Raptor as many owners were doing it themselves.

The Bronco Raptor costs $90,035 (roughly ₹74.93 lakh) and the Black Appearance package costs an additional $4,995 (roughly ₹4.16 lakh). Ford says this new cosmetic package will be available to order from April-end onwards.

Ford’s Bronco is an iconic vehicle and is now in its sixth generation. The Raptor is a more high-performance version of the Bronco and gets three engine options. The first is a 2.3-litre inline-four turbo-petrol engine producing 300 bhp and 440 Nm and comes mated to either a 7-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic gearbox. The second is a 2.7-litre V6 turbo-petrol engine churning out 330 bhp and 563 Nm and comes only with the automatic gearbox. The third is a 3.0-litre V6 turbo-petrol engine producing 418 bhp and 597 Nm and it also only gets the automatic gearbox.
