Hero MotoCorp Enters Ecuador With Quilmotors Partnership

Hero MotoCorp on Thursday named Quilmotors as its exclusive distributor in Ecuador, marking the Indian two-wheeler manufacturer's latest push into Latin America. Under the partnership, Quilmotors will handle assembly operations, dealer network development, sales, aftersales service and spare parts distribution across the South American country.

Sanjay Bhan, Executive Vice President for Global Business, Global Product Planning and Global Market Insights at Hero MotoCorp, said in a statement: "Ecuador presents a strong opportunity for us, driven by evolving customer aspirations and increasing demand for reliable, high-quality mobility solutions. Our partnership with Quilmotors combines their deep local market expertise with our global capabilities, making them an ideal partner."

Hero MotoCorp will introduce eight models in Ecuador through the partnership, spanning several segments. The line-up includes the Eco Deluxe and Eco 150 commuters, the Hunk 125R and Hunk 160R 4V naked sports bikes, the Xpulse 200 4V and Xpulse 200 4V Pro dual-purpose motorcycles, and the Xoom 110 and Xoom 125R urban scooters.

Quilmotors representative Felipe Estrada said: "Hero MotoCorp is a globally respected brand and we are confident that its technology, quality and performance will strongly resonate with customers in Ecuador."

To mark the entry, Hero MotoCorp will open its first exclusive flagship outlet in Guayaquil on Avenida de las Americas, one of the city's established automotive corridors. The facility will stock genuine spare parts and house fully equipped service workshops.
