The ‘Ride Safe India’ campaign is built around the 4Es of road safety: Education, Engineering, Enforcement, and Emergency Care.

Hero MotoCorp has strengthened its road safety outreach through the ‘Ride Safe India’ campaign, marked by the Women’s Night Rally in Gurugram. Organised in collaboration with Haryana Police and Raahgiri Foundation, the rally underscored the importance of safe and inclusive mobility, particularly for women.

The rally brought together 150 women riders who covered a nine-kilometre stretch through Gurugram’s streets during late evening hours. Flagged off by senior officials including Dr. Arpit Jain, Deputy Commissioner of Police, and Hero MotoCorp’s Vice President Sanjay Bhan, the event symbolised confidence, visibility, and shared responsibility on public roads.

Fourteen women traffic police officers were also honoured for their exemplary service, reinforcing the role of women as leaders in promoting safer mobility. The initiative aimed to place women at the centre of India’s road safety narrative, aligning safety with empowerment and equal access to public spaces.

Launched in January 2026 to coincide with National Road Safety Month, the three-month ‘Ride Safe India’ campaign is structured around the 4Es of road safety—Education, Engineering, Enforcement, and Emergency Care — outlined by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. Through training programmes, school outreach, and citizen-led activities, the campaign promotes safe riding as a shared social responsibility.

Latika Taneja, Head of Corporate Communications, Corporate Affairs & CSR at Hero MotoCorp, said, “Through our Ride Safe India campaign, we are working to shape a culture of safety by driving sustained behaviour change across communities. Today’s women’s rally reaffirms our belief that safe mobility is fundamental to true empowerment because when women move freely and safely, societies move forward with them.”

Officials from Gurugram Police highlighted that initiatives like Ride Safe India extend beyond awareness, sending a clear message that roads belong to every citizen at all hours. The partnership reflects a growing trend of public-private collaboration aimed at translating policy intent into measurable, on-ground impact.

As the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, Hero MotoCorp’s continued focus on safety complements its broader mobility and sustainability agenda. The Women’s Night Rally represents a key milestone in advancing inclusive road safety and fostering behavioural change across communities.
