The Delhi High Court has set a stay on proceedings until December 6 for the case
Hero MotoCorp and some of its chief officials received some relief in a recent case of falsifying accounts and cheating on an FIR submitted by the Delhi Police. The report mentions the names of Hero top boss Pawan Munjal as well as Vikram Kasbekar and Hari Gupta, who are senior executives in the company. Thankfully, the Delhi High Court has put a stay on the proceedings of this case until December 6.
The Delhi Police claim Hero and its officials have been falsifying their accounts, and indulging in forgery, cheating and criminal conspiracy. This particular case was brought to the fore by one of Hero’s former vendors, Brains Logistics, which claims certain bills between the years 2009 and 2010 were incorrect.
This case pertains to the transition years where Hero ceased to be Hero-Honda and went solo. Apparently, Brains Logistics’ contract with Hero ceased to exist on March 31, 2009 and hence the rest of the raised bills were falsely created.
Here’s what Hero MotoCorp’s official statement on the matter is: “This is with reference to the recent news item regarding an FIR against the company/ officials. This is to inform that it is an old matter pertaining to the year 2009-10 with a disgruntled service provider, Brains Logistics Pvt. Ltd. (Promoter - Roop Darshan Pandey). It may also be noted that while the complainant has mentioned company officials in the complaint, however, no official has been named in the FIR. In 2013, Hero MotoCorp also registered an FIR against them and the matter is ongoing before the competent court.”
