Are the significant updates enough for the Honda Activa to stand up against one of its arch rivals, the TVS Jupiter?
The Honda Activa has finally received some crucial upgrades which makes it a nice modern proposition. But is it enough to take on one of its key rivals, the TVS Jupiter 110, which underwent its most radical transformation last year?
2025 Honda Activa | TVS Jupiter 110 | |
Engine | 109.51 cc, single-cylinder | 113.3 cc, single-cylinder |
Power | 7.88 bhp @ 8000 rpm | 7.9 bhp @ 6500 rpm |
Torque | 9.05 Nm @ 5000 rpm | 9.2 Nm @ 5000 rpm |
With a bigger displacement motor, the TVS Jupiter 110 is clearly pushing out for more here. Plus, thanks to the iGo assist technology, the Jupiter 110 also benefits from short bursts of extra torque (0.6Nm more), which should give you that little extra oomph to make quick overtakes.
On the other hand, the Honda Activa is not that far behind with the performance it has on offer. Just like TVS, even Honda is offering the Activa with Idle-Start-Stop assist now. But Its primary objective is to make the engine a bit more frugal.

Front Suspension | Telescopic Fork | Telescopic Fork |
Rear Suspension | Single-side rear shock absorber | Twin Tube Shock Absorber, With 3-step Adjustment |
Front Brake | Drum | Disc |
Rear Brake | Drum | Drum |
Front Tyre Size | 90/90-12 | 90/90 -12 |
Rear Tyre Size | 90/100-10 | 90/90 -12 |
Both scooters have similar underpinnings, but the Jupiter 110 gets the benefit of slightly better hardware components. Whether it's in the form of dual-shock absorbers at the rear, or giving customers the benefit of an all-drum or a disc-drum brake combination. Not to mention, the 12-inch wheels at both ends sure make the riding experience on the Jupiter a whole lot more stable.

Length | 1833 mm | 1848 mm |
Width | 697 mm | 665 mm |
Height | 1156 mm | 1158 mm |
Wheelbase | 1260 mm | 1275 mm |
Kerb Weight | 105 - 106 kg | 105 kg |
Underseat Storage Space | 18-litres | 33-litres |
Seat Height | NA | NA |
Fuel Tank | 5.3-litre | 5.1-litre |
The TVS Jupiter 110 continues to be the more practical offering of the two. It measures longer which helps its case to have a longer seat. It has quite the spacious boot space that can easily accommodate two half-size helmets.
One of the biggest upgrades that Honda made to the Activa for 2025 is the addition of a fully digital 4.2-inch TFT cluster. This premium digital console supports smartphone connectivity via Honda’s RoadSync app which in turn gets you turn-by-turn navigation and call/SMS alert.
On the other hand, the TVS Jupiter 110 sets the standard in this department. It might get a less premium reverse LCD console, but the connectivity features on offer here are far more in comparison. From navigation with voice assist, to call/SMS alert, find my vehicle (locate your scooter in a parking lot using your mobile phone), to displaying distance to empty, and the average fuel consumption – are all displayed here. However, these features are only available with the top-spec variant of both the scooters.
Lastly, the TVS Jupiter 110 is available with all LED lighting, but the Honda Activa still makes do with a halogen headlight in the base-spec variant, while the top variants get LED headlight. The tail light and turn indicators are still bulb units, though.
Despite those thorough upgrades, the Honda Activa continues to be the humble offering as it always was. The addition of a new instrument cluster might enhance the ownership experience a bit, but not by leaps and bounds. The Jupiter 110 looks premium, packs in more features, and it is priced out really well. It starts from ₹74,691 and tops out at ₹87,791. The new 2025 Honda Activa starts from ₹80,950 (all ex-showroom prices, Delhi), making it quite the premium affair, in comparison. So our pick of the two will continue to be the TVS Jupiter 110, for being a much better all-rounder than the Honda Activa.
