Toyota inspired Honda, which created the Toyota Miraidon Project last year based on the Pokemon Miraidon.
Honda has teamed up with The Pokemon Company to develop a radical-looking two-wheeler. Based on the Pokemon Koraidon and designed like the fictional mythic creature that appears in the game “Pokemon Scarlet,” the new “Honda Koraidon Project” has been showcased as a rideable electric mobility concept.
Honda was inspired by Toyota, wherein the Japanese four-wheeler brand had created the “Toyota Miraidon”, last year. It was made by the Toyota Engineering Society, and the project’s message was “Adult’s Devotion Makes Children’s Dreams Come True.” The Honda Koraidon Project was conceptualised and manufactured using “monozukuri” technique (the art of manufacturing) that Toyota passed on. The project was comprised of approximately 40 engineers, all of whom were recruited from the motorcycle and power product businesses and the Innovative Research Excellence wing of Honda. However, this time, the project was built under the slogan “Honda’s Devotion Makes Children’s Dreams Come True”.
While details about the “Honda Koraidon Project” are limited, the company did specify that the concept bike will incorporate its self-balancing technology. And since this is a concept bike, it won’t be available for purchase off the shelf anytime soon. This is a showpiece and it will be on display at Honda Welcome Aoyama from Friday, March 7 to Sunday, March 9, 2025.
