Honda India Foundation (HIF) has flagged off 26 Emergency Response Vehicles (ERVs) for Udaipur Police, aimed at improving mobility and operational reach across key parts of the district. The fleet comprises 25 Honda Shine 100 motorcycles and one Honda Elevate car, all adapted for police duties. The vehicles will be deployed across tourist destinations, urban centres and other areas where quick and flexible access is required.
The initiative follows an earlier contribution by Honda India Foundation in February 2026, when it provided 25 vehicles to Udaipur Police’s Tourist Patrolling Team to assist with crowd management and public safety. The latest deployment extends that support and reflects HIF’s ongoing efforts to strengthen community-focused infrastructure and services.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor of Punjab and Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, Gulab Chand Kataria, said in a statement: “Udaipur is an important centre of public and tourist activity, and this effort will further strengthen our Police Patrolling Team to support public safety across the district. I appreciate Honda India Foundation for this meaningful contribution. Their continued engagement in such collaborative efforts contributes to strengthening public service delivery at the local level.”
The motorcycles supplied under the programme have been equipped with emergency signalling systems, public address systems, flashlights, storage compartments and safety equipment. These modifications are intended to improve accessibility across different terrains while supporting police personnel in routine patrolling and response duties.
