Hyundai Alcazar Facelift Fuel Efficiency Revealed

Hyundai India has launched the Alcazar facelift in India at ₹14.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The diesel line-up of the Alcazar starts at ₹15.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Hyundai India will reveal the rest of the prices later this week. At the launch, the brand also revealed the fuel efficiency figures of the Alcazar facelift. 

The Alcazar continues to get a 158 bhp, 253 Nm, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 114 bhp, 114 bhp, 250 Nm, 1.5-litre diesel engine. Both get a 6-speed manual gearbox, while the petrol gets a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic and the diesel gets a 6-speed automatic. The turbo-petrol engine has a claimed fuel efficiency of 17.5 kmpl with the manual and 18 kmpl with the automatic. With the diesel engine, the Alcazar has a claimed fuel efficiency of 20.4 kmph with the manual and 18.1 kmph with the automatic gearbox. 

The facelifted version of the three-row SUV from Hyundai rivals the Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV700 and MG Hector Plus. All the rivals of the Alcazar get a diesel engine but the Safari is the only one without a petrol engine. However, Tata’s flagship SUV is confirmed to get a turbo-petrol engine in 2025 but details remain scant.
