Earlier this year, Hyundai launched the Exter with 6 airbags as standard.
Hyundai Motor India, today announced that it will make 6 airbags a standard features on cars across the company’s portfolio. This is a big move as it puts Hyundai in a prime space and makes it the only manufacturer in India to make this safety feature standard across all its vehicles. Today the company also revealed that the Verna had received a 5 star safety rating from Global NCAP which is a first for Hyundai India.

Unsoo Kim, MD & CEO, Hyundai India said “The year 2023, saw HMIL achieve key safety milestones through standardization of critical safety equipment and bolstering of active & passive safety features in high volume models.”
The company has had a great year so far with the launch of the Exter, which too came with 6 airbags as standard at the time of launch. The company had been ahead in terms of technology and now is also leading from the front when it comes to safety.
