In January 2026, HMIL recorded its highest-ever monthly domestic sales of 59,107 units.

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) on Sunday announced it has registered its strongest-ever February performance since the company's inception, selling a combined total of 66,134 units during the month and posting year-on-year growth of 12.6 per cent. The automaker's domestic sales reached 52,407 units, up 9.8 per cent compared to the same period last year, while exports accounted for a further 13,727 units -- a sharp rise of 24.8 per cent year-on-year. Both figures represent all-time highs for the month of February across the company's entire history in India.

The February result follows an equally impressive opening to the year. In January 2026, HMIL recorded its highest-ever monthly domestic sales of 59,107 units, which is an 9.5 per cent year-on-year growth. Total sales that month, including exports of 14,030 units, reached 73,137 units — another record -- with overall growth of 11.5 per cent year-on-year.

"We kicked-off 2026 on a high note achieving our highest-ever monthly sales in January and the momentum continues in February. With a total sales (domestic plus exports) of 66,134 units, the highest for any February in our history, we posted a robust growth of 12.6 per cent YoY. This includes domestic sales of 52,407 units, also the highest-ever February sales since inception. As we approach completing 30 years in our great country, our ambition is very clear - to make cutting-edge connected technology accessible to all while elevating every ownership experience and carrying the spirit of Hyundai from India to the world," Tarun Garg, MD & CEO of HMIL, said in a statement.

Beyond its sales performance, the South Korean manufacturer has outlined ambitious expansion plans for the Indian market. At the launch event for the new-generation Venue in November, HMIL announced its intention to introduce 26 new models in India by the financial year 2030. The redesigned Venue is the first vehicle in this rollout, with further launches expected to follow in the coming years.
