Hyundai distributed 72 advanced assistive devices during the conclave.
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), as part of its 'Samarth by Hyundai' initiative, hosted its inaugural ‘Samarth Assistive Devices Conclave’ in Bengaluru. This event underscores Hyundai's ongoing commitment to societal betterment by emphasising the significance of assistive technology in empowering individuals with disabilities. In collaboration with the Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled, Hyundai distributed 72 advanced assistive devices during the conclave.

Tarun Garg, COO, Hyundai Motor India Limited, said, “Through ‘Samarth by Hyundai’, we aim to create a more inclusive society and ease the way of living for people with disabilities in India. Providing assistive devices is a step towards strengthening our commitment to the nation’s comprehensive development. Through innovative solutions, we are determined to unlock the potential of individuals with disabilities and pave the way for a more empathetic and inclusive society.”

Hyundai has pledged to distribute 684 assistive devices over the next three years under this initiative. These devices include hearing aids, wheelchairs, digital kits for the visually impaired, and bionic limbs, designed to enhance mobility, vision, hearing, and communication for the recipients.
The day-long conclave provided a platform for critical discussions on the role of assistive devices in fostering inclusion, the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities in India, and the potential of assistive technologies in para-sports.
