Hyundai is expected to showcase a wide range of its future products at the Brussels Motor Show starting 9 to 18 January, 2026.
Hyundai recently teased its biggest electric vehicle (EV) yet on its social media handles. The new EV will be showcased at the Brussels Motor Show starting 9 to 18 January, 2026. The Korean carmaker hasn’t revealed the name of the “biggest EV” but it is expected to be a fully electric version of the Staria MPV sold overseas.
The upcoming Staria EV will be the first model to incorporate Hyundai’s advanced electric architecture, including an 800V charging system aimed at faster charging and improved efficiency. The battery-powered MPV will sit at the top of Hyundai’s existing EV line-up, which currently ranges from the Inster to the flagship Ioniq 9.
The teaser image offers limited visual detail, highlighting only a full-width LED light bar with the Hyundai logo positioned just beneath it. Observant viewers may note that this lighting signature closely resembles that of the ICE-powered Hyundai Staria MPV. At over 5.2 metre in length, the Staria EV is likely to surpass the Ioniq 9 which is a shade over 5 metre long to become the longest EV by Hyundai.

Prototypes of the Staria EV have been spotted undergoing testing overseas. From a design standpoint, the electric version is expected to remain largely in line with the ICE-powered Staria, with the addition of a few EV-specific elements.
Besides the Staria EV, Hyundai is also expected to showcase the updated Ioniq 6 which will make its first appearance at a European motor show. Unveiled in April this year, the updated Hyundai Ioniq 9 features subtle aerodynamic design enhancements, complemented by upgrades to its interior technology and digital systems.

The all-electric Hyundai Staria EV is unlikely to make its debut in India anytime soon. However, the ICE-powered Staria was showcased at the 2025 Auto Expo. The luxury/high-premium MPV space is opening up in India with models like Toyota Vellfire and Kia Carnival. The Hyundai Staria could be a nice alternative to the other two models mentioned above.
