Hyundai has quietly delisted the Tucson from its India website. On being asked, a Hyundai spokesperson confirmed that the Tucson has been discontinued from the market. The fourth-gen Tucson was launched in India in August 2022 and went up against premium mid-size SUVs such as Jeep Compass, Volkswagen Tiguan, and Citroen C5 Aircross.

The Tucson was never a high-volume selling model for the Korean carmaker in India. Between May and September, Hyundai dispatched a total of 359 units of Tucson across the country, not breaching the three-figure monthly sales mark even once. It must be noted that the Tucson in India was sold as a CKD model. The last recorded prices for Tucson stood at a starting price of ₹27.31 lakh and went up to ₹33.64 lakh (both ex-showroom).

Hyundai Tucson facelift: Will it come to India?

Hyundai hasn’t yet confirmed if and when the facelifted Tucson will come to India which got unveiled earlier this year. In fact, test mules of the updated Tucson have been caught on camera multiple times in recent months. Codenamed NX5, the facelifted Tucson is set to receive some significant design and technology upgrades. In all likelihood, we expect the new Tucson to hit the Indian roads sometime early next year.
