Apple is set to implement significant changes across its iPhone portfolio in 2025.
Apple is preparing to unveil multiple new devices in the coming week, according to leaks and rumours. The tech giant's upcoming releases include the iPhone SE 4 model, Apple Vision Pro updates, and a new M4 MacBook Air.
According to analyst Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, Apple is set to implement significant changes across its iPhone portfolio in 2025, with substantial upgrades planned for the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro models, likely to launch this fall. Most notably, the company is developing an ultra-slim variant, aligning with the industry shift toward thinner smartphone designs.
Apple's product timeline indicates the simultaneous launch of the iPhone SE and an upgraded PowerBeats Pro 2. The PowerBeats Pro 2 will introduce a notable health monitoring capability, incorporating heart rate measurement -- a feature that Apple intends to eventually integrate into its AirPods line.
This strategic product rollout demonstrates Apple's commitment to advancing both its smartphone and audio device categories while expanding their technological capabilities. The introduction of health monitoring features in the PowerBeats line particularly signals Apple's continued focus on health-related technology integration across its product ecosystem.
The budget-friendly iPhone could incorporate design elements from Apple's premium lineup while maintaining its position as an accessible entry point to the iOS ecosystem.
"NEW: Apple plans to launch the overhauled iPhone SE as early as next week. Major features include iPhone 14-like design, A18 chip, Apple Intelligence, bigger screen and USB-C," Gurman posted on X.
The coming weeks are also expected to bring the introduction of the M4 MacBook Air, potentially advancing Apple's leadership in the ultra-portable computing segment. This release would build upon Apple's successful transition to custom silicon, which has significantly enhanced the performance and efficiency of its laptop offerings.
