The two-day ICAT event features 34 technical papers, panels on glare & smart lighting, awards, and an exhibition.
The International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT) inaugurated the eighth edition of the International Symposium on Lighting (ISOL-2025) today at its Centre-2 facility in Manesar.
The two-day event, scheduled from 17 to 18 November 2025, focuses on developments in automotive lighting technology and industry-academia collaboration.
More than 700 professionals attended the inaugural session, including senior government officials, representatives from vehicle manufacturers, lighting component makers, technology suppliers, and researchers from academic institutions.
The symposium features 34 technical papers presented across six sessions. The topics include intelligent automotive lighting, lighting systems for advanced driver assistance and automated driving, glare management for road safety, energy-efficient solutions, lighting design, electric-vehicle-specific lighting, electromagnetic compatibility challenges, future trends, and regulatory updates.
Two panel discussions are part of the programme. The first will address innovations for safer night driving with emphasis on glare control, while the second will cover the future direction of smart, adaptive, and safety-oriented automotive lighting.
The event includes the presentation of ISOL Awards for Innovation and Excellence to recognise contributions in the field. A parallel technical exhibition is being held where original equipment manufacturers, component suppliers, system providers, and service companies are displaying products and technologies related to automotive lighting.
Organisers expect over 1,500 delegates to participate over the two days. The symposium aims to facilitate knowledge exchange and networking among stakeholders in the automotive lighting sector.
The event is being organised by ICAT with support from industry bodies and academic partners. Further details are available on the official ICAT website.
