The XUV 3XO is offered in two trims – AX5L and AX7L – and both get ADAS.

Mahindra Automotive has launched the XUV 3XO in Australia at AUD 23,490 (roughly ₹13.15 lakh). The subcompact SUV is available in two trims – AX5L and AX7L – and both trims come with ADAS.

The Australian-spec XUV 3XO is only available with the 110 bhp 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine.

Compared to the Indian-spec XUV 3XO, the Australian spec is only available with the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine with 110 bhp and 200 Nm, mated to a 6-speed automatic. For reference, the same trims are available with the 129 bhp, 230 Nm, 1.2-litre TGDi turbo-petrol engine with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic. Price-wise, the India-spec and Australian-spec are somewhat similar.

It is only available with the 6-speed automatic gearbox.

The XUV 3XO is only offered with the AX5L and AX7L trims because these are the only two which get ADAS. That’s important since Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), which is a key feature in ADAS, is mandatory in Australia.

It gets the same features as the India-spec XUV 3XO.

Both variants are offered with features like a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless connectivity, a 10.25-inch virtual cluster, auto headlamps, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, a 360-degree camera, dual-zone climate control, ADAS and more. The top-spec AX7L also gets a 7-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, panoramic sunroof, leatherette upholstery and more.

Prices for the Australian XUV 3XO start at AUD 23,490.

While the XUV 3XO has a 5-star rating from Bharat NCAP, News.com.au reports that Mahindra will not be sending the subcompact SUV for assessment to Australasian NCAP just yet. However, Mahindra is waiting to submit the XUV 3XO for assessment to ANCAP in 2026 when the new protocols arrive, setting benchmarks for post-crash safety, driver monitoring and advanced autonomous braking. ANCAP could likely conduct the assessment independently.
