iQOO India has announced that it will launch the iQOO Z9x 5G smartphone in India on May 16. This comes after the phone was recently listed on the company's spare parts page, hinting at its imminent launch.
The upcoming iQOO Z9x is expected to be similar to the Chinese variant. It will likely be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset and pack a 6,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging. It features a 6.72-inch 120Hz LCD display, dual rear cameras with a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP front camera and Android 14-based OriginOS 4 out of the box.
In a post on the micro-blogging site X, iQOO India CEO Nipun Marya shared the design of the iQOO Z9x, revealing a light green gradient finish with a feather-like pattern. The square camera module holds two rear snappers and an LED flash.
Another post confirmed that the iQOO Z9x will be available through Amazon and the company's online store. In China, the base 8GB + 128GB model starts at CNY 1,299, translating to roughly Rs 15,000. It comes in Dark Night, Feng Yuqing, and Starburst White colour options.
Considering the Vivo T3x's starting price in India is Rs 13,499, the iQOO Z9x is also expected to be priced competitively. More details about its Indian specifications and pricing are expected to be revealed during the May 16 launch event.
