The Verna will be the second car in its segment to feature a 360-degree camera system in India, after the 2023 Honda City.
Hyundai will launch the 2023 Verna in India tomorrow. The car comes with a range of advanced safety features designed to prevent accidents and improve road safety. These features include lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and a 360-degree camera system. The Verna will be the second car in its segment to feature a 360-degree camera system in India, after the 2023 Honda City.
The lane departure warning alerts the driver if the car drifts out of its lane. The lane keeping assist actively steers the car back into its lane if it detects it drifting.
The forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking work together to prevent accidents caused by sudden obstacles or hazards on the road. The forward collision warning system detects obstacles in the car's path and sends an alert to the driver. The automatic emergency braking system stops the car to avoid a collision if the driver fails to react.
The adaptive cruise control maintains a safe distance from the car in front, even in stop-and-go traffic. The car's speed automatically adjusts to maintain a safe following distance, which is particularly useful in heavy traffic.
The 360-degree camera system provides a bird's-eye view of the car's surroundings, making it easier for drivers to park and manoeuvre in tight spaces.
Other safety features include 6 airbags, stability control, ABS, and ISOFIX seat anchors.
The car features a dual 10.25-inch screen setup for the infotainment system and the digital instrument cluster, similar to the Hyundai Ioniq 5. The infotainment system includes a Bose sound system, wireless smartphone connectivity, and switchable HVAC controls.
Other features include ventilated and heated seats, a segment-first feature, and a powerful 1.5-litre turbocharged engine with 158 bhp mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox.
