This is Isuzu's first all electric vehicle
Isuzu has unveiled its first battery electric vehicle in the form of the D-Max EV. The prototype will be showcased at the 45th Bangkok International Motor Show.
Developed to meet a wide range of commercial and passenger vehicle needs, the D-Max BEV boasts a 1-tonne payload, 3.5-tonne towing capacity, and a full-time 4WD system with newly developed e-Axles in the front and rear.
With a lithium-ion battery capacity of 66.9kWh and a maximum output 174 bhp, the electric D-Max boasts of a maximum speed of over 130kmph and according to the company is suitable for urban rides as also the off-road jaunts.
The company plans to launch the D-Max BEV in select mainland European markets in 2025, with further expansion to the UK, Australia, Thailand, and other countries based on market demand and the development of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.
