Jaguar’s Type 00 concept car has made its first public appearance on the streets of Paris, captured in a video released by the British automaker. The vehicle was seen driving to a Paris Fashion Week event, finished in a new colour called French Ultramarine.
First unveiled last December at Miami Art Week, the Type 00 has sparked mixed reactions. While some praised its bold design as a "triumph," others criticised its unconventional appearance, calling it "clunky" and "overdone." The concept car serves as a glimpse into Jaguar’s future as it transitions to becoming an all-electric brand.
“Type 00 is a pure expression of Jaguar's new creative philosophy,” said Gerry McGovern, Jaguar Land Rover's chief creative officer, at the car’s initial unveiling. “It has an unmistakable presence. This is the result of brave, unconstrained creative thinking, and unwavering determination.”
The Paris outing introduced French Ultramarine as the latest colour option, adding to the previously revealed Miami Pink and London Blue. Jaguar emphasised that the Type 00 is purely a concept, with the video caption clarifying that it is a "non-production vehicle."

However, the car won’t remain a concept forever. Jaguar managing director Rawdon Glover recently told a UK-based publication that the Type 00 would inspire a production four-door electric sedan set to be unveiled later this year.
