The Jeep Wrangler Willys 41 has been brought back after the previous edition was sold out in just days. The new limited edition will be restricted to only 41 units.
The Jeep Wrangler Willys 41 Special Edition has been launched again in India, paying homage to the original 1941 Willys MB, the model that kicked-off the automaker’s off-road DNA. The new Wrangler Willys 41 is priced at ₹70.31 lakh (ex-showroom), and is about ₹2 lakh more expensive, while based on the Rubicon trim. It has been re-introduced in the market after the previous version was sold out within just seven days after the launch. The Wrangler Willys 41 Special Edition will be restricted to only 41 units.
Speaking on the launch, Kumar Priyesh, Business Head and Director – Automotive Brands, Stellantis India, said, “The Willys legacy is more than a story—it is the foundation of Jeep’s character. The Wrangler Willys 41 2.0 is our tribute to that heritage. It reflects the spirit of the original 1941 Willys MB while delivering the capability, authenticity and emotional connection that Jeep owners value deeply blending timeless Willys cues with contemporary engineering to deliver capability, exclusivity and character in equal measure.”
The new Jeep Wrangler Willys 41 Special Edition arrives with more detailing, greater authenticity, and an expanded list of equipment. The special edition remains specific to the Indian market and comes with the ‘41 Green’ exterior paint scheme, inspired by the military green colours on the original Willys Jeep. Additionally, you can have the SUV in white, red, black and blue colour schemes. There’s also ‘1941’ decals on the bonnet, the year Jeep began producing its first military-spec off-roader.
Furthermore, Jeep has added motorised side steps and an integrated front and rear dash cam, while you also get new interior grab handles and all-weather floor mats. It also has an optional kit comprising a roof carrier with integrated side ladder and sunrider roof top, available at a special price of ₹3.60 lakh, which makes it about a lakh cheaper over the previous edition.
Powering the Jeep Wrangler Willys 41 is the same 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 268 bhp and 400 Nm of peak torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The SUV comes with 4x4 as standard with locking differentials and low-range gearing.
Under the bonnet, the special edition Wrangler continues to be powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 272hp and 400Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission along with a 4x4 drive layout as standard.
