Under the agreement, JSW Motors will deploy Dassault Systèmes' DELMIA 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
JSW Motors Limited, the new energy passenger vehicle division of the JSW Group, has entered into a long-term strategic partnership with French technology giant Dassault Systèmes, as the Indian automotive firm aims to establish a fully integrated digital framework for its upcoming electric vehicle (EV) range. Under the agreement, JSW Motors will deploy Dassault Systèmes' DELMIA 3DEXPERIENCE platform as the central digital backbone underpinning the design, engineering and manufacture of its entire New Energy Vehicle (NEV) portfolio.
"At JSW Motors, we are building a technology-led future mobility ecosystem which is engineered in India and world class," Ranjan Nayak, Chief Executive of JSW Motors Limited, said in a statement.
"We are delighted to partner with Dassault Systèmes from France to embed its state-of-the-art, digital platform across the vehicle lifecycle, from design to manufacturing at JSW Motors. We are also in advanced discussions with several additional domestic suppliers to further deepen localisation and strengthen India's automotive supply chain. By leveraging the best global technologies, we aim to accelerate development timelines while enhancing quality," Nayak added.
According to JSW Motors, the partnership would accelerate the localisation of its product development capabilities through deployment of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, creating an integrated Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) ecosystem spanning design, engineering and validation.
"The Indian automotive industry is at a pivotal inflection point, and JSW Motors is well-positioned to lead this transformation," said Deepak NG, Managing Director for India at Dassault Systèmes.
"Our 3DEXPERIENCE platform will empower JSW Motors to manage the growing complexity of software-defined vehicles, while enabling end-to-end integration across their entire value chain, from design and engineering to manufacturing and lifecycle management. By building virtual twins of their products and processes, we will help drive greater innovation, efficiency, and agility, ensuring scalability and sustained competitiveness in a rapidly evolving market."
The company is simultaneously rolling out a world-class Manufacturing Execution System (MES) on the same platform, with the aim of achieving seamless digital continuity and full end-to-end traceability across its operations.
The company's broader strategy centres on building a globally benchmarked automotive ecosystem within India, combining domestic manufacturing with access to leading international technologies, an approach it believes will allow it to deliver vehicles tailored to the Indian market whilst bolstering supply chain resilience and long-term industrial competitiveness.
