For the January-June period, Kia India recorded its best-ever first-half sales, with dispatches increasing 15.2 per cent year-on-year.
Kia India on Wednesday reported its highest-ever June sales, with wholesale dispatches rising 19 per cent year-on-year to 24,552 units, driven by sustained demand for the new Seltos and continued momentum across its expanding product portfolio. The automaker dispatched 24,552 units in June 2026, compared with 20,625 units in the same period last year. This is its strongest-ever June performance since entering the Indian market.
For the January-June period, Kia India recorded its best-ever first-half sales, with dispatches increasing 15.2 per cent year-on-year to 163,749 units from 142,139 units in the corresponding period of 2025.
The automaker attributed the growth to sustained demand for the new Seltos, alongside the Sonet and Carens Clavis. It also said the recently introduced MY26 Syros has received an encouraging response from customers.
“Closing the first half of the year at a record high with best-ever June sales is a significant milestone for Kia India and reflects the trust customers continue to place in our brand. This performance has been driven by the sustained demand for the new Seltos, Sonet as well as Carens Clavis, while MY26 Syros has also received an encouraging response from customers. It is particularly gratifying to see existing Kia customers upgrading to the New Seltos, reaffirming the strength of our product proposition," Atul Sood, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, said in a statement.
The company said the new Seltos has strengthened its presence in the mid-size SUV segment with updated styling, connected technology features and a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating, which it described as the highest score achieved by an internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle tested so far.
The Kia Sonet continued to contribute steadily to overall volumes, while the Carens and Carens Clavis expanded the brand's appeal among family and lifestyle-oriented buyers.
On the electric mobility front, Kia said the Clavis EV continues to gain traction as part of its strategy to make premium electric vehicle technology more accessible in the Indian market.
