Kia Seltos Secures 5-Star BNCAP Rating in Latest Crash Tests

Kia Seltos received a 5-star rating in Bharat NCAP crash tests conducted in 2026. Bharat NCAP tested the HTE O GTX D1.5 CRDi VGT 6AT variant. The SUV weighs 1771 kg and originates from India. 

The Kia Seltos scored 31.70 out of 32 in adult protection. It scored 45.00 out of 49 in child protection. The frontal offset deformable barrier test gave 15.70 out of 16 points. The side movable deformable barrier test gave 16 out of 16 points. The side pole impact test met requirements. 

Frontal crash tests provided good protection to heads of driver and passenger. Airbags deployed correctly with pretensioners and load-limiters. Side tests protected head, thorax, chest, and pelvis regions.  

Child tests used JOIE i-SPIN 360 restraints with ISOFIX. Dynamic scores reached 24 out of 24. Installation scores were 12 out of 12. The structure stayed stable in offset test. No knee airbag exists for driver or passenger. Rear centre lacks three-point belt. 

Safety features include ESC, seat belt reminders, and pedestrian protection as standard.
