The company sees its Kia Connect subscription renewal rate as an indicator that owners are satisfied.

Kia has announced that it has sold its 5,00,00th car with digital connectivity features in India, indicating strong consumer demand for its higher-end variants with features such as the Kia Connect 2.0 suite and ccNC infotainment system. The company also says that such variants account for almost 40 percent of its domestic sales, strengthening its proposition as a tech-forward brand.

The Seltos compact SUV is Kia’s biggest-selling model with such features, accounting for around 70 percent of the 5,00,000 figure. Other models equipped with digital connectivity features include the Sonet subcompact SUV and Carens MPV. Both of Kia’s electric models in India, the EV6 and the Carens Clavis EV, fully support connectivity features across all variants.

In a statement marking the milestone, Atul Sood, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Kia India, said "Strong customer retention beyond the complimentary subscription period underscores the sustained relevance and long-term value of Kia Connect”.

The company sees its subscription renewal rate as an indicator that Kia vehicle owners are satisfied with the connectivity features on offer. According to the company, its most popular connected features are its digital cockpit with navigation display and over-the air updates; remote vehicle diagnostics that reduce the need for owners to visit a service location; Digital Key 2.0 on a smartphone or smart watch; and remote 360-degree surround view via the Kia Connect app.

The company says multilingual voice recognition is also frequently used, and currently works in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Bengali. Additional commands will be introduced in future updates.

In 2025, Kia India announced it had developed a new Plant Over-The-Air (OTA) update capability, allowing its cars to receive new features and software fixes after they are manufactured by before they leave the plant, so customers do not have to go through the update process right after they take delivery of a new car.
