Track-only models and dirt bikes have been kept out from KTM’s new warranty programme.
KTM has had a turbulent time over the past few years, but things have improved ever since the takeover by Bajaj Auto. To show this growth, the Austrian brand made a major announcement which will improve confidence of existing and potential KTM owners globally.
The Austrian brand has announced an extension of its 4-year standard warranty on all its road-legal motorcycles MY2025 onwards in the global market. The four-year Premium Manufacturer’s Warranty applies to all street-legal KTM motorcycles across a wide range of segments including Adventure, Dual Sport, Naked, Super Sport, Sports Tourer, and SuperMoto spanning all the way from 125cc to 1,350cc, under single and twin-cylinder engine configurations.
This means track-only and closed course competition models are not included in this scheme. KTM says that the four-year standard warranty is attached to the bike and not the rider. This means if the bike’s ownership changes within the first four years, the remaining warranty coverage is carried over to the next owner.

To maintain coverage for the full four year duration, all required services must be carried out in accordance with the motorcycle’s official service plan by an authorised KTM dealer. Previously, most of KTM’s road-legal models came with a standard two-year warranty. The new programme effectively doubles that coverage period.

KTM is offering additional incentives to its European customers. In Europe, buyers will benefit from Service Activated Roadside Assistance (SARA). With every annual service carried out at an authorised KTM dealer, the roadside assistance coverage is extended for up to 12 months or until the next scheduled service, offering added peace of mind to riders across the region.
In India, KTM has been offering a standard 5-year warranty on all its locally-manufactured products since 2024. These including the RC, Duke, and Adventure range of models that are powered by 160 cc, 200 cc, 250 cc, and 390 cc engines. These bikes are manufactured by Bajaj Auto in Maharashtra.
