KYT Helmets has officially launched its R1R full-face racing helmet in India, priced starting at ₹39,000, through its importer and distributor House of Machines. The KYT R1R has been developed with input from the company’s MotoGP racing programme, and is aimed at enthusiasts who want top performance and advanced safety features on a racetrack or for high-performance road riding.
The KYT R1R is already on sale across India, at authorised KYT dealerships. It is available in multiple styles, with the Colour Graphics variants priced at ₹39,000, while Carbon Graphics and Replica versions will cost ₹43,500.
KYT says the R1R helmet, which was first unveiled at India Bike Week, is the result of extensive road and track validation. It has been designed and engineered in Italy using advanced digital tools. The company claims it can help riders achieve peak aerodynamic stability across multiple riding conditions including high-speed straights, aggressive braking, and cornering. Three years of wind tunnel testing were needed to achieve the R1R’s aerodynamic profile for reduced drag and improved high-speed stability.

The company has used a tricomposite shell with carbon fibre, aramid fibre, and fibreglass to achieve its strength and impact resistance without making it too heavy. There’s also a multi-density EPS liner, engineered for progressive energy absorption across different impact zones.
The helmet meets the latest and most stringent European safety standards, based on improved real-world impact testing. It is certified for ECE 22.06 homologation compliance.
KYT has used a Hydrocool technical fabric on the inside of the helmet which it says can rapidly dissipate heat, manage moisture, and maintain rider comfort during intense
Rides. There’s also a ventilation system designed for performance riding, with integrated intake channels working in conjunction with a rear spoiler and Venturi-effect extraction system for efficient airflow and heat dissipation.
The R1R’s visor offers a 210-degree horizontal and 90-degree vertical field of view, for riders’ situational awareness. The visor delivers Optical Class 1 clarity and is compatible with Pinlock anti-fog inserts (sold separately). A rototranslation mechanism improves sealing and structural integrity. Tinted visors are also available as options.
The helmet’s metal alloy Racing Lock System is designed to stay securely fastened at high speeds, reducing the risk of accidental opening during impact scenarios.
In an official statement, Ajit Bharadwaj, Director, House Of Machines, said “The R1R represents everything KYT stands for: pure racing DNA, uncompromising safety, and performance-driven design. With this launch, we are bringing a true MotoGP-developed helmet to Indian riders who demand the very best, whether on the track or the road. It marks a significant step in strengthening KYT’s presence in India’s premium riding gear segment”
