The numbers place India among the top 15 markets for Lamborghini by volume, and sixth in the Asia Pacific region.

Automobili Lamborghini India has reported deliveries of 113 cars in 2024, the highest tally for the brand in the country so far and an increase of 10 per cent over 2023, when it delivered 103 units. It crossed the 100-car mark in India for the first time in 2023, up from 92 units in 2022, as demand for high-price performance cars widened beyond a small base of buyers.

The numbers place India among the top 15 markets for Lamborghini by volume, and sixth in the Asia Pacific region. In global terms, India still accounts for a small share of Lamborghini’s worldwide deliveries, which stood at 10,112 units in 2023 and 10,687 units in 2024.

The company began operations in India in 2007 and has since built its presence through three dealerships. Top management has indicated that a fourth showroom is under study, backed by a pipeline of orders that already stretches across many months. Lamborghini’s allocation for India is sold out. Ackodrive spoke to a dealer who confirmed that fresh orders are likely to be delivered only from 2026 or later, with some estimates pointing to an order book that runs until 2027.

Within the line-up, the Urus SUV remains the mainstay in India, supported by the Huracan and the newer Revuelto plug-in hybrid sports car. Lamborghini has now completed deliveries of the final Huracan Tecnica in India, marking the end of the Huracan production run in this market; over its lifecycle, the company delivered 252 Huracan units in the country, according to an internal note shared with dealers. Its successor, the hybrid Temerario, is set to take over the role in the range, while the Urus SE plug-in hybrid SUV has also joined the portfolio in India.

The wider market for cars with prices above the two-crore mark has expanded in recent years. Industry estimates put sales in the super luxury segment at about 1,000 units in 2023, more than double the level in 2022, with projections of 1,200–1,300 units for 2024. Lamborghini competes in this space with brands such as Ferrari, McLaren and high-end models from German manufacturers.

For the next phase, the company is betting on hybrid sports cars and SUVs, a steady order pipeline and a larger retail footprint to support its targets. Regional leadership has spoken of a medium-term goal of reaching about 150 cars a year in India, subject to allocation and market conditions.
