BMW Group India today announced a significant leadership transition, with Hardeep Singh Brar set to take the helm as the new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective September 1, 2025. He succeeds Vikram Pawah, who will transition to lead BMW Group Australia and New Zealand as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Jean-Philippe Parain, Senior Vice President, Region Asia-Pacific, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, BMW Group, highlighted India's strategic importance. "India is among the fastest growing markets for BMW Group and an important pillar of our long-term success strategy for the region," he stated.
Brar brings over thirty years of extensive experience in the Indian automotive sector. His impressive career includes senior management roles across sales, marketing, customer experience, network development, and corporate strategy for prominent brands such as Maruti-Suzuki, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, General Motors, Nissan Motor, and Great Wall Motor Company. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Kia India. Mr. Brar holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and is an alumnus of Harvard Business School’s Senior Executive Leadership Program.
