Leapmotor and Qualcomm debut world's first production dual Snapdragon central computing platform at CES 2026 for its D19 flagship, integrating cockpit, ADAS, and more for advanced AI experiences.

Leapmotor has introduced the world's first production-ready central vehicle computing platform utilising Qualcomm's Snapdragon Cockpit Platform Premium Edition and Snapdragon Ride Platform Premium Edition. The reveal took place at CES 2026, representing a significant step in consolidating multiple automotive domains into one integrated system.

The upcoming flagship model, the Leapmotor D19, will be the initial production vehicle to feature this dual Snapdragon 8797 automotive platform. This setup combines a smart cockpit, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), body control, and connectivity into a single architecture, aiming to simplify development processes, lower costs for manufacturers, and provide enhanced AI-driven personalised experiences for users.

The central domain controller merges essential functions such as intelligent cockpit operations, ADAS capabilities, body controls including lighting, climate, and doors/windows, along with vehicle gateway features. The dual-chip design offers sufficient processing power for real-time operations and sophisticated AI tasks, including support for intelligent agent applications.

Zhu Jiangming, Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of Leapmotor, stated that intelligence is transforming the automotive sector, with innovation central to the company's strategy. He added that this implementation of a dual Snapdragon-based central controller will advance vehicle architecture upgrades and deliver superior driving experiences.

Key specifications of the platform include support for up to eight displays with high-resolution options, 18-channel audio, over-the-air updates, remote diagnostics and control, more than 200 modular services, ADAS integration with up to 13 cameras plus LiDAR, radar, and ultrasonics, L2-level assistance with over 30 functions including end-to-end parking, and full connectivity features.
