This is the most rugged-looking offering from Lectrix yet.
Electric scooters have crossed the 1 million registration mark again this year. People are clearly growing more fond of them, mostly for their urban runabouts. Adding a new flavour to this segment is Lectrix with the new Nduro. Launched at ₹84,999 (introductory price) onwards, the new Lectric Nduro will be available in two variants variants – Nduro 2.0 and Nduro 3.0. The former packs in a smaller battery, while the latter gets a bigger option as standard and will set you back by ₹94,999 (introductory price). However, customers will also get the option to avail of the battery on lease, in that case, the new Lextric Nduro 2.0 will set you back by ₹59,999, but early buyers can avail it at ₹57,999. The monthly subscription for the same starts at ₹999.
Aesthetically, the Lectrix Nduro is clearly going for a rugged appeal here, similar to what we have seen with the River Indie. However, unlike the River Indie which has the largest boot space of all electric scooters at 43 litres, the new Lectrix Nduro falls short of it by just 1 litre, at 42 litres. Its rugged appeal also looks sharper in comparison, especially, with the front apron design. An all-LED single projector headlamp is flanked by quite dramatic looking panels. Similarly, the headlight cowl also stands out with its sharper appeal and sleek indicators integrated into it.
As mentioned above, the Lectrix Nduro is available with two battery pack options – 2.3 kWh and 3 kWh. The former is good for a claimed range of 90 km, while the latter can do 117 km on a single charge. Eitherway, the batteries are paired with a 2.4 kW strong electric motor that is good for a top speed of 65 kmph in both variants. Lectrix claims that the Nduro can do the 0-40 kmph dash in 5.1 seconds, which is decent enough for daily urban runabouts.
Feature-wise, the Lectrix Nduro is available with two display options. The base Enduro 2.0 gets a 5-inch colour segmented LCD unit, while the top-spec Enduro 3,0 gets a 5-inch TFT screen. There is mobile app connectivity but it only unlocks ride analysis and battery statistics. On the safety front, both variants will be available with hill-hold, reverse mode, theft alert, and side stand cut-off.
Bookings for the new Lectrix Nduro will commence from December 7 onwards. The top-spec Enduro 3.0 with an asking price of almost ₹1 lakh, will have the likes of the Bajaj Chetak, Ather Rizta, TVS iQube, and of course the River Indie as its competition.
