The GX will be available in two engine options
Lexus unveiled the all-new GX and the vehicle will make its way to other markets (India being one of them) starting from the end of 2023. So yes, we expect it to come to India by 2024. We have already seen the LM from the company, which is a luxury MPV, and now we get to see the GX which is based on a body-on-frame structure. The SUV will be positioned between the LX and the RX and the new generation of the model has been reimagined as "The Premium Off-Roader.”
Based on the GA-F platform, which it shares with the LX, the GX, gets a 3.5-litre V6 twin-turbo which according to the company is fuel efficient as also powerful. In fact, the GX also gets a 2.4-litre, 4 cylinder, turbo hybrid system which will come with slightly less power but it will not be less in terms of capability. Both the engine options come with 4WD as standard.
Building upon its legacy of off-road durability, the vehicle has undergone notable advancements, combining purpose-built packages for off-road performance with the introduction of the E-KDSS system, resulting in improved traction on diverse road surfaces.
The exterior design is in typical Lexus style – a work of art. There is aggression up in the face and it looks ready to go off-road. Lexus promises enhanced off-road visibility from every angle and says that the interior is thoughtfully equipped with features that create a modern and comfortable space, instilling customers with a sense of security in any environment.
