Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) India has officially commenced local assembly of the Defender 110 in the domestic market via the completely knocked down (CKD) route. The decision to assemble the luxury off-roader locally comes on the back of exceptional commercial performance across the country.
Reservations are open online and across 32 authorised dealerships in 26 cities, with customer deliveries scheduled to commence on November 15, 2026. This also follows the successful local assembly transition of the flagship Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models.
| Defender 110 Powertrain | Previous Price (CBU) | New Price (CKD) | Price Drop |
| 2.0 Litre Turbo Petrol | ₹1.13 Crore | ₹99.00 Lakh | ₹14.00 Lakh |
| 3.0 Litre Turbo Petrol | ₹1.52 Crore | ₹1.18 Crore | ₹34.00 Lakh |
| 3.0 Litre Diesel | ₹1.52 Crore | ₹1.18 Crore | ₹34.00 Lakh |
The local assembly initiative specifically applies to the Defender 110 variant in its X-Dynamic HSE trim level. Under the new local assembly framework, Indian buyers will have access to three engine choices: a 3.0-litre diesel engine in D350 specification, a 3.0-litre petrol motor in P400 tune, and a 2.0-litre petrol unit in P300 guise.
Notably, the local assembly brings a substantial increase in standard equipment. The 2.0-litre petrol variant now includes up to ₹6.5 lakh worth of previously optional features as standard, such as Electronic Air Suspension with Adaptive Dynamics, Terrain Response 2, Adaptive Off-Road Cruise Control, Wade Sensing, three-zone climate control, and a front centre console refrigerator.
