The Emeya is Lotus’ second electric vehicle in India, and Emira is the only ICE car in its line-up.
Lotus Cars India has launched the Emeya electric at ₹2.33 crore (ex-showroom, India). The Emeya is available in three variants – Emeya, Emeya S and Emeya R. Furthermore, Lotus also launched the Emira at ₹3.22 crore (ex-showroom, India). The Emira is also available in three variants – Turbo, Turbo SE and V6. However, Lotus has not mentioned the prices of the remaining variants right now.
The Emeya is the brand’s second electric vehicle in India, following the Eletre which was launched in late 2023. The specifications for the Emeya are quite similar to the Eletre. It comes with a 102 kWh battery pack which has a range of up to 610 km on a full charge. In comparison, the Eletre gets a larger 112 kWh battery pack, which has a range of up to 600 km on a full charge. The extra range despite the smaller battery can be attributed to the better aerodynamics of the Emeya.
Lotus’ electric sedan gets a dual-motor setup for all three variants. The Emeya and Emeya S produce 603 bhp and 710 Nm, while the range-topping Emeya R produces 905 bhp and 985 Nm. The Emeya R can sprint from 0-100 kmph in less than 2.8 seconds, while the other two variants can do it in 4.15 seconds.
Inside, the Emeya is quite similar to the Eletre as it also has a large 15.6-inch infotainment touchscreen along with two slim displays (one for the instrument cluster and one for the passenger). The Emeya also has an ADAS suite that utilises the multiple LIDAR sensors and cameras on board, much like the Eletre. And like the Eletre, the Emeya is also available in four and five-seat configurations.
The Lotus Emira is the brand's only ICE model in its line-up globally. It is available with two engine options – a 360 or 400 bhp, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine sourced from AMG and a 400 bhp, 3.5-litre supercharged V6 petrol engine sourced from Toyota. The AMG engine is available with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, while the Toyota engine is mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Inside, the Lotus Emira is available with a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 12.3-inch virtual instrument cluster, as well as a keyless entry, power-adjustable seats, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, among others.
