Finally after 3 years! Production begins by 2024.
On September 20, 2020, Lucid announced an upcoming SUV called Gravity. Since then, not much news has come from Lucid about the Gravity, but that's about to change. The California-based EV brand is set to reveal more after a social media teaser on November 16 coinciding with the Los Angeles Auto Show.

Having already introduced the Lucid Air sedan in 2021, it appears that the company is now adopting a nature-inspired naming approach, starting with "Air" and now moving to "Gravity." The teaser post reveals that production for the Lucid Gravity will commence in late 2024, indicating a bit of a wait before test drives become available. Previously, Lucid had only provided information about a 2023 reveal with production scheduled for 2024, so this recent update provides a more specific timeframe.
The recent teaser photo of the 2025 Lucid Gravity doesn't provide us with any groundbreaking revelations. It merely highlights a slender horizontal tail light seamlessly integrated into a broad rear gate, with a distinctly narrower roofline overhead. However, back in April 2023, a teaser video granted us a more detailed view of this electric SUV. It showcased clear angles of the front and rear during prototype testing, although it didn't offer a close-up profile view. Nonetheless, from the glimpses we've had, it's evident that the Gravity shares a strong family resemblance with the Lucid Air.
Within the 2025 Lucid Gravity, you'll find a versatile seating arrangement, with options for either two rows or three rows to accommodate up to seven passengers. Staying true to Lucid's reputation, the vehicle is poised to deliver exceptional performance, although we're eagerly awaiting more detailed information on its mechanics next month. The Lucid Gravity SUV's fast charging and estimated 805 km range could be a game changer in the US electric vehicle market.
Lucid has hinted at a supercar-like driving experience, and if the Lucid Air's remarkable acceleration is any indication, there's substantial reason to anticipate a similarly exhilarating ride in the Gravity. Beyond performance, Lucid also commits to delivering impressive range and efficiency, further solidifying its standing as an upcoming segment leader.
The 2023 LA Auto Show opens to the public on November 17, but you can expect all the details about the Lucid Gravity to be revealed a day earlier during the media days.
These photos of the Lucid Gravity certainly make a statement. It's strikingly reminiscent of a taller Lucid Air, and that seems to suit it better. The Lucid Air had its own unique aesthetic, but the Gravity's increased height gives it a more natural SUV look. If you're already familiar with the Lucid Air, that's a great point of reference, but once you see the Gravity, you might start to think of the Lucid Air as a more compact, squished version. Personally, I believe the Lucid Gravity's design aligns exceptionally well with the taller SUV form factor, and it's a step up from the Air's design.
