Mahindra Announces Over 93,000 Bookings for XUV 7XO and XEV 9S

Mahindra has reported a strong response to its latest SUVs, the XEV 9S and XUV 7XO, with consolidated bookings reaching 93,689 units as of 2:00 PM on January 14, 2026. This translates to a booking value exceeding ₹20,500 crore, calculated at ex-showroom prices.

Deliveries of these latest Mahindra SUVs are scheduled in phases: XEV 9S from the week of January 26, 2026, and XUV 7XO commencing immediately.

The company highlighted its ongoing leadership in India's SUV segment through its wide range of products. Mahindra has multiple ICE and electric SUVs in the ₹15-30 lakh price bracket, including Thar, Thar Roxx, Scorpio N, BE 6, XEV 9E, and the aforementioned new XUV 7XO and XEV 9S.

The XUV 7XO, basically a facelifted XUV700, features a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 197 bhp and 380 Nm torque, or a 2.2-litre mHawk turbo-diesel delivering 185 bhp and 420/450 Nm.

It offers manual and automatic transmissions, with seating for 6 or 7, advanced infotainment including triple 10.25-inch screens, wireless connectivity, and safety features like ADAS. The model emphasises premium cabin space, ride comfort, and versatility for family and urban use.

On the other hand, the XEV 9S is an electric SUV that uses the XUV 7XO’s bodyshell sitting atop the Inglo born electric platform. It delivers 380 Nm torque, and comes with fast charging support (20-80% in about 20 minutes at 180 kW DC).

Its key highlights include a spacious 7-seater layout, advanced software integration, high ground clearance, and focus on performance, efficiency, and sustainability for modern electric mobility.
