Mahindra Records 14% SUV Growth in September; Crosses 1 Lakh Electric Origin Billing Milestone

Mahindra recorded 114,874 vehicle sales in September 2026, driven by robust SUV and commercial growth.

Mahindra reported total vehicle sales of 114,874 units in September 2026, registering a 15% year-on-year growth compared to 100,298 units in September 2025. Month-on-month automotive sales grew 6.7% from 107,648 units in August. 

The total includes utility vehicles, light commercial vehicles, three-wheelers, and exports, with heavy commercial vehicles and tractors tracked separately.

Domestic SUV sales reached 64,092 units, up 14% from 56,233 units a year earlier. Year-to-date SUV sales for April to September reached 358,142 units, marking a 20% expansion. Mahindra also crossed 100,000 billings for its Electric Origin SUV lineup. Additionally, three-wheeler sales surged 26% to 16,343 units, while exports fell 7% to 4,019 units.

The company’s commercial vehicle sales rose 14% to 30,420 units for LCVs up to 3.5 tonnes. Combined sales for Mahindra Trucks & Buses and SML Mahindra jumped 53% to 2,912 units. 

Vinod Sahay, Executive Chairman of SML and President at M&M, stated that growth was supported by early festive buying, ongoing infrastructure development, and consistent freight movement.
