Mahindra reported 99,969 sales in March 2026. The company closed FY26 with record SUV and LCV volumes, maintaining strong growth momentum.

Mahindra & Mahindra reported total auto sales of 99,969 units in March 2026, registering a strong 21% year-on-year growth, supported by continued demand for its SUV portfolio.

The company’s utility vehicle (UV) segment remained the key growth driver. Domestic SUV sales stood at 60,272 units, marking a 25% increase compared to March 2025. Including exports, total UV sales reached 62,109 units.

Commercial vehicle (CV) sales in the domestic market came in at 24,928 units, reflecting an 11% YoY growth. Within this, the light commercial vehicle (LCV) segment under 3.5 tonnes continued to contribute significantly to overall volumes.

On a month-on-month basis, Mahindra’s performance remained largely stable compared to February 2026, indicating sustained demand rather than a seasonal spike. The consistency highlights strong order books and steady production levels across key models.

Exports also contributed modestly to overall volumes, although the primary growth momentum remained driven by domestic demand.

FY26 Performance

Mahindra closed FY26 with record annual volumes, driven by strong performance in both SUVs and LCVs.

  • SUV sales stood at 6,60,276 units, up 20% YoY
  • LCV sales reached 2,89,597 units, growing 13% YoY

The company’s SUV-led strategy, combined with steady growth in the commercial vehicle segment, has helped it maintain a strong trajectory through the financial year.

Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO, Automotive Division, stated that the company ended FY26 on a positive note, achieving its highest-ever volumes across SUVs and LCVs, driven by sustained demand.

Mahindra is expected to carry this momentum into FY27, backed by a strong SUV pipeline, improving rural demand, and continued focus on expanding its commercial vehicle footprint.
