The XUV 3XO EV will share most of its design with the ICE version but will get slight changes.
The Mahindra XUV 3XO was launched in India earlier this year and now the Indian auto giant is preparing to launch its electric version. New spy shots of the XUV 3XO have emerged showing the subcompact SUV with bronze accents, indicating that it is the XUV 3XO EV.
The all-electric subcompact SUV will likely have a different name, but if that happens, it will be revealed closer to the launch. The XUV 3XO EV could be launched sometime next year. It remains to be seen if it will be positioned under the XUV 400 or a replacement for it. It will most likely be the latter.
The XUV 3XO EV will share its basic design with the ICE version but will have different elements like a copper-coloured roof, badging, and copper accents inside. Like the XUV 400, the XUV 3XO EV will also have its charging flap on the front left fender.
The XUV 3XO EV will also share its design with the standard XUV 3XO as it will also get a black and white interior with copper accents on and around the gear-lever, steering wheels and AC controls. Other features will include a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 10.25-inch virtual instrument cluster, and dual-zone climate control. Expect the XUV 3XO EV to get six airbags, stability control, three-point seatbelts with reminders for all seats and more as standard.
The XUV 400 is currently priced at ₹16.94 - 17.69 lakh and the XUV 3XO is priced between ₹7.79 - 15.49 lakh (both ex-showroom, India). Expect the electric version of the XUV 3XO to be priced between ₹14 - 16 lakh (ex-showroom, India). It will rival the Tata Nexon.ev (₹12.49 - 16.99 lakh) and MG Windsor EV (₹13.50 - 15.50 lakh).
