The new Mahindra XUV 7XO has received plenty of exterior updates over the outgoing XUV 700, even though the overall silhouette and top hat remains intact. Up front, the 7XO gets a reworked main grille featuring stylised vertical elements with the brand’s Twin Peaks logo at the centre. The grille is bordered by redesigned headlamp units featuring a twin-pod layout with a sharper LED DRL signature, while the lower section of the front fascia incorporates a sculpted bumper and a reprofiled air dam.

The side profile remains intact, the only noticeable change are the new 18-inch alloy wheels on top trims. At the rear, the reworked tailgate houses a new taillight assembly featuring fin-like detailing along with gloss black treatment at the centre housing the Twin Peaks logo. The tailgate also features a bold lettering of “XUV 7XO”.
Changes inside the cabin of the Mahindra XUV 7XO are more significant in nature. The XUV 7XO comes equipped with the brand’s new two-spoke steering wheel featuring the ‘Twin Peaks’ logo and a piano-black finish. Combined with a tan-and-black interior scheme and a minimalist dashboard layout, these updates are expected to enhance the cabin’s overall premium feel. Mahindra continues to offer the XUV 7XO in either a 6-seat or a 7-seat configuration.

Speaking of the dashboard, the XUV 7XO borrows the triple-screen layout from the XEV 9S and XEV 9E comprising 12.3-inch displays for the touchscreen infotainment, digital instrument cluster, and front passenger entertainment. The front passenger seat gets an electronically operated ‘boss’ mode to liberate more rear legroom for the second-row passenger. Moreover, a rear-seat entertainment package is also offered as an option.
The XUV 7XO is also the first made-in-India car to get an infotainment system that integrates Alexa Voice Assist with Chat GPT. Other notable feature additions include massaging front seats, rear ventilated seats for the 6-seater variants, a 540-degree camera, an upgraded 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system with Dolby Atmos, and a wireless charger for second-row seats.

Existing features like wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a powered driver’s seat with memory function, multi-colour ambient lighting, and dual-zone climate control have been carried over from the outgoing model.
In terms of safety, Mahindra XUV 7XO comes loaded with up to seven airbags (six as standard), electronic stability control (ESC), automatic headlamps,, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ISOFIX child-seat mounts, an electronic parking brake, and Level 2 ADAS functionality. Mahindra claims a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating for the XUV 7XO. Besides safety, Mahindra makes bold claims in the comfort department with a segment-first Advanced Hydraulic Rebound Stopper.
