Besides a new audio system, the upcoming Mahindra XUV 7XO will offer several new features over the outgoing XUV700.
Mahindra is gearing up to launch the XUV700 facelift that will be rebranded as the XUV 7XO. Slated to make its debut on 5 January 2026, the new Mahindra XUV 7XO will offer several upgrades over the outgoing model. The Chakan-based carmaker has started accepting pre-launch bookings for the upcoming XUV 7XO. Interested customers can book the Mahindra XUV 7XO by paying a token amount of Rs 21,000 at any dealership across the country.
Ahead of its debut, Mahindra has shared multiple teasers of the XUV 7XO on its social media handles. The latest teaser highlights the audio system from Harmon Kardon to be offered in the updated mid-size SUV. The teaser confirms that Mahindra will offer a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system paired with Dolby Atmos, a significant upgrade from the 8-speaker Sony system seen in the present XUV700.
The teaser also provides a glimpse of the triple screen layout on the dashboard that was first introduced in the Mahindra XEV 9E, followed by the XEV 9S launched last month. Previous teasers have highlighted features such as 360-degree camera, Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System, and a rear-seat entertainment package which is likely to be offered as an option.
Other details revealed in the earlier teasers include a redesigned dashboard with a new gloss black two-spoke steering wheel with Mahindra’s Twin Peaks logo, new ‘Boss Mode’, which lets the rear seat occupant move the front passenger seat themself, and a refreshed dual-tone interior theme.
Mahindra XUV 7XO is expected to receive heavily revised front fascia led by a vertical bronze-slatted grille with piano black accents. The lighting layout appears to draw inspiration from the recently-launched Mahindra XEV 9S, with anticipated additions such as boomerang-shaped LED DRLs, trapezoidal LED elements at the front, and reprofiled taillamps with hexagonal detailing.
Previous teasers have revealed updated dual-pod projector LED headlamps. Additionally, recent spy shots suggest subtle changes to the front and rear bumpers, along with possible revisions to the body’s sheet metal.
